For the last 5 weeks, we’ve outlined Women in the Bible: Beautiful and Brave. It can mean stepping forward when everyone else is stepping back. It can be stepping back when the crowd is stepping forward.
She has a passion to empower young women to stand for their faith in a secular society and model lives that reflect the image of Christ. Being brave means having the courage to take a step. Michaela encourages young women to develop healthy habits from the inside out while understanding the transformational significance of a purpose-driven life. Michaela graduated with degrees in dance and public relations from the University of Alabama, where she served for two years as the campus-wide Bible study leader for Delight, a nationwide college ministry in the U.S. She established scalable partnerships for Brave & Beautiful with Media Literacy Now, University of Florida Department of Education, and the Federal Trade Commission to advocate for young women’s social media literacy. During her year of service, she shared the message of “Brave & Beautiful: Breaking Free from Behind the Screen” to 40+ schools and churches across Florida and reached over 15,000 people. Michaela won the title of Miss Florida 2019 and placed Top 15 at Miss America 2020. Unfortunately, incidents like these have become too many to count.
Michaela is an award-winning dancer, motivational speaker, performing arts missionary, and oldest of four sisters. about This song, The Beautiful and The Brave, was written in honour of those who were tragically killed in The Charleston Church Massacre, The Orlando shooting, and for Philando Castille who was shot and killed by a police officer in front of his 4 year old daughter.
